Introductory Screen Printing Workshops using painted stencils.
Explore designing with hand painted stencils and learn the basics making simple screens and printing. An in depth workshop that introduces the craft of traditional silkscreen or serigraphy.
Create an edition of 8 items of your own design (+ 1 take home an extra set of mixed designs made by your group.)
We will have flour sack tea towels or napkins, paper and t-shirts to print on and please bring with you whatever you think you might like to print on. The problem with printing is once you get going its hard to stop!
The screen is then yours to take home (and make more.. :)

We begin with a demo/ intro to screen printing and an inspirational slide show to get our ideas going! Then we explore imagery and ideas with drawing and painting and out of these images we will come up with a design for your printable items.
Once we have processed the designs we will paint up a stencil onto our screens and prepare for printing on Sunday where we will team together and work in groups to print our products.
The workshop fee includes the screen and a bunch of items to print and take home.
