Introductory Screen Printing Workshops using paper stencils.
Explore designing with simple paper cut stencils and learn the basics making simple screens and printing. This is a Saturday afternoon workshop that introduces the concept and craft of traditional silkscreen.
Create an edition of 6 items of your own design (+ 1 take home an extra set of mixed designs made by your group.)
We will have flour sack tea towels or napkins, paper and t-shirts to print on. The only problem with printing is once you get going its hard to stop!
Your screen is then yours to take home (and make more.. :)

The workshop will take place in my studio workshop, a renovated cow barn in the town of callicoon.

About 2.5-3 hours North west from the City, on the Delaware River.
We begin with a demo/ intro to screen printing with paper stencils. Then we explore imagery and ideas with drawing and out of these graphics we will come up with a design for your printable items.
Once we have processed the designs we cut a paper stencil for our screens and we will team together and work in groups to print our products.
