A native star shaped prehistoric flower from South Africa, Proteas are very close to my heart. Named after "Proteus" who could change his forms Proteas come in a multitude of shapes. This drawing is based on the "King Protea." A symbol of courage, strength and diversity.
I always get happy when I spot them in the US.
